AI is good but bad, AI is good because it's a great way for people to get answers to questions easier (rip stackoveflow), AI is good because you can use it to improve platforms in regards to more accurate content safety, however; AI is bad because it takes away jobs, steals peoples hard work, hurts the environment and the economy, and generally only benefits the ultra-wealthy in the long term. How AI works right now is very anti-people, you have a big powerful computer room that uses the electricity of hundreds of homes just to push out what it thinks you want it to say. I'm also worried about the implifications of using AI to advertise products, while right now they're transparent that "hey! this is an ad!"; I don't doubt that it will just subtly say "oh yeah this product is great" when they're just being paid to say that. Also, the introduction of AI into everything is just... too much, I do not want to talk to an AI on a forum website, I do not want AI generated "art" on my feed, I do not want people to be misinformed about what's happening. As I am writing this, Copilot is trying to tell me what to write in a blog post that's meant to be by me.. I fear that AI will be used for propaganda.
